The role
TOTEME is looking for a Regional Retail Manager - China to join our team in Shanghai full-time. In this role, you will lead and manage TOTEME’s retail operations across China, driving brand growth and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. Your focus will be on improving store performance, building a strong team environment, and implementing initiatives to boost customer loyalty and streamline operations. You’ll collaborate with leadership to align on budget and profitability goals, and act as a key link between regional stores and headquarters. You will report directly to the Head of Retail.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a retail strategy for China, contributing to TOTEME’s growth and brand presence in the market.
- Collaborate with leadership on annual retail P&L, budget planning, and cost management to optimize profitability.
- Ensure store compliance, manage refurbishment projects, and develop clienteling strategies to enhance customer loyalty.
- Support and guide Store Managers, lead recruitment efforts, and shaping the team structure.
- Work closely with Store Managers to plan and execute local events and marketing initiatives, including loyalty programs and in-store activations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to support operational goals.
- Oversee inventory management, stock counts, and loss prevention efforts to ensure operational efficiency.
- Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy.
Your profile
- Minimum of 10 years of retail experience, including at least 2 years in regional, sub-regional, or multi-store management within an international luxury brand.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong understanding of retail strategy, market trends, and clienteling.
- Knowledge of the Chinese luxury retail market and consumer preferences.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional and global teams.
- Fluent in both written and spoken English and Mandarin Chinese.

This is a full-time position based in Shanghai, China, starting as soon as possible.
