Retail Academy
The TOTEME Retail Academy is an investment in our people, promoting growth, learning, and career development within TOTEME and the fashion industry. By opening up to internal mobility, immersive internships, and learning exchanges, we empower our retail teams to deepen their expertise, stay motivated, and expand their horizons.
Our goal is to build TOTEME ambassadors and future leaders, ensuring that every team member has access to the tools, knowledge, and experiences needed to grow. Through training and exposure to international best practices, the academy promotes excellence, innovation, and a strong retail culture, driving both individual and business success. Roles and Career Trajectory
Our stores maintain a mix of junior, mid-level, senior, and leadership roles tailored to each store’s unique needs. By offering several roles and steps within each store, we create a career focused environment and target, retention and professional development. As part of TOTEME’s approach to career development, we recognize that growth can take many forms, not just upward.
Our entry-level positions include Sales Advisors, some of whom take on additional responsibilities as Training Ambassadors or Visual Merchandising Ambassadors, as well as Stock Keepers. These roles build the foundation of our client experience and store operations. As team members advance, mid-level roles like Senior Sales Advisor, Stock Supervisor and Store Supervisor introduce greater responsibility and the opportunity to guide daily store operations.
For those with deeper experience, senior roles such as Private Client Advisor and Assistant Store Manager focus on client relationship management and supporting the broader leadership of the store. The Store Manager sets the direction for the store and guides the team’s development and performance. Across all levels, our structure allows colleagues to evolve in their roles and grow in line with their talents and ambitions.
Exchanges within Retail
Store exchanges are part of our onboarding program for senior positions in-store. To set our employees up for success, we offer a structured onboarding program for senior employees joining a new store.
These may include national or international transfers based on
”best in class” stores in the specific field (Operational Excellence, Visual Merchandising, Clienteling, Stock Management). This ensures that teams adapt to global market standards to then adapt to local needs and operational standards. By providing immersive training, mentorship, and first-hand store experience, we enable managers to lead with confidence.
As part of our commitment to talent development and knowledge sharing, we also offer High-Performer Transfers, giving top-performing team members the opportunity to work in other stores, including international locations.
By fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and excellence, these transfers strengthen our global retail network and ensure continuous growth, both for the individual and the business.
Collaboration between stores and HQ
Collaboration between our stores and HQ is an essential part of how we work at TOTEME. To strengthen this connection, we have established structured ways of working that are practical, consistent and meaningful. Sales Advisors dedicate a few hours each week to areas such as Visual Merchandising, Training or Clienteling, giving them hands-on experience that aligns closely with HQ functions.
Regular monthly check-ins with HQ counterparts provide space to exchange perspectives, align priorities and build a shared understanding of the business. Joint initiatives across Clienteling, Visual Merchandising, Training and Retail Excellence further ensure that our stores and HQ operate in harmony.
HQ Rotation Program
Our Store-to-HQ Internship is designed to offer store team members the opportunity to gain first-hand experience at HQ.
This initiative provides exposure to key business functions such as Buying, Merchandising, Marketing, Retail Operations, Sustainability, or Finance, allowing participants to develop a 360° understanding of the business.
By immersing top talent in HQ projects, we empower them to broaden their skill set, strengthen cross-functional collaboration, and explore new career paths. This program not only promotes personal growth and mobility but also ensures that retail expertise is infused into HQ decision-making—creating a stronger, more connected organization.

About TOTEME
TOTEME is a fashion house rooted in Swedish sensibilities, modern aspirations and the notion of style.
With an appreciation for women’s many roles and how pieces are worn in practice, we create emblematic designs with an emphasis on materiality and shape. Archetype pieces are examined through a female lens and realized with sumptuous fabrics, rich textures and graphic silhouettes. Representing a direct and decisive way of dressing, the collections are contextualized in curated edits, visuals and spaces.
TOTEME was founded in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman. From the studio in Stockholm, we create collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories and jewelry.
